Hi Friends,
Maybe, The basic axis display style was changed in JMP 14
For example;
1. Assumption
-sample data : diamonds data
-variable : carat weight
-spec : -5 ~ 10, very wide compared to real data range 0~2
(selected 'show as a graph reference line in column info)
-JMP platform : variability gauge
2. JMP 13

3. JMP 14

4. JMP 13 displayed based on spec in axis, but JMP 14 display based on values of real data
like control chart.
5. Question
How to default Y axis based on spec in JMP 14.
Maybe, he would like to report to his boss the stability of the data compared to SPEC.
Hi Malcolm,
I think that your suggestion is very good alternative.
Thanks.
Nonetheless, I am thinking about other method in variability chart
I get the same problem with the variability chart. Two potential worksrounds are to use Graph Builder or Measurement Systems Analysis platforms instead. Providing you check the box to use spec limits as reference lines on graphs when defining the spec limit properties for a variable, then you will get the behaviour you are after with these two platforms.
Best,
Malcolm
