First Launch - Learning Roadmap
Learning Objectives
- Users will be able to navigate and locate all major JMP windows i.e. Starter Window, Reports, Graphs, Sample Data, etc.
- Users will be able describe, locate and identify the major platforms in JMP i.e. Tabulate, Fit Model, Fit Y by X, etc.
- User will be able to locate and launch linked sample data from the help menu by searching and listing in several ways
- Users will be able to import data from multiple applications i.e. Excel, Web Sites, Text files, etc.
- Users can enter new data, repeat sequences and create, apply and edit formulas
- Users can recode data in columns, and exclude, label, and hide certain data
- User will be able to explain the anatomy of a JMP data table, columns headers, saved scripts, data view, and table, columns, and rows panels.
- User will be able to describe and adjust different modeling and data classifications, continuous, ordinal, nominal, and character.
- Users can classify data with row states i.e. hidden, labels, colors, markers
- User can export data, copy and paste reports and share in presentations
- Users can connect JMP reports, models and graphs to data tables by saving scripts and using home menu to see an overview of their current analysis project.
- Users will be able to approach their data entry strategically, by deciding when to use Columns or Rows for data set up, observations, etc.
- User will understand and and launch then interact with JMP's Profiler platform.
- Users will understand what the JMP community is, how to add a document, start a discussion and upload a video or file
- Users will have a foundational data termionolgy vernacular , describing the differences between Character, Ordinal and Nominal data types
