JMP SW vs license file version control

We received a question from a customer's JMP license admin who received files for JMP 12/13/14. The SW and license file versions match for earlier JMP versions (i.e. v13.2 SW and v13.2 license) but do not match for JMP 14 (v14.2 SW and v14.0 license).

We don't have any indication that the customer is having compatibility issues between the 'different' JMP 14 files but is there a quick explanation we can provide our customer to address this difference?

I'm not clear on where you (or they) are looking at a version on the license file. Can you tell me the customer (and order numbers if you got them) so I can look at what was they've gotten?

 

I looked at some orders for JMP 13 and JMP 14 and don't see anything like what you're describing so I'm going to need some more details.

Thanks for the response, Jeff! I forwarded you an email (ambiguously titled 'JMP Software Order Emails') with the order #'s to keep the customer's info private.

 

The customer noticed the discrepancy in the file names. (This is a big customer that likes to ask these kinds of questions)

We want roll out of this material to their 100's of users to run smoothly so a huge thanks for answering this little nitty-gritty question!
