Contingency tables

Question

Model task. There are two groups. It is necessary to find out whether they differ in the proportion of smokers and non-smokers.
We can use the contingency tables analysis 2 x 2  (Fit Y by X platform).
However, it is known that these groups are unbalanced by gender.
How to adjusting the contingency tables analysis 2 x 2 by gender?
P.S. The idea of separate analysis (stratify on gender) for men and women is known. But how else to adjust?

Logistic regression evaluates the contribution of individual variables. it's not an adjusting

The Contingency platform provides a stratified analysis (C-M-H). You could stratify on gender.

You could also use Fit Model. Thus will lead to the Logistic Regression platform. Your model can include Gender as a covariate.
