Query Builder - Saving Data TableHi All,
Does anybody know if it's possible using the "Save Table" option in Query Builder to overwrite an exisiting data table? "Save Table" will allow you to save a data table back into the DB but I receive an alert message when I want to re-save a data table which already exists in the DB. I don't know if that's a limitation of the example Jumanji connection config settings or if it's related to JMP. Your help is appreciated.
Re: Query Builder - Saving Data TableYou're right, the request to drop the table was blocked. That's fine, I will tell the customer he needs to have the correct file permissions in order to overwrite an existing table, thanks.
Re: Query Builder - Saving Data TableYou can try that. You may have a permissions issue that will block that as well.
Re: Query Builder - Saving Data TableThanks Brian, In my case the updated table does not save back into the database after the alert is given. But based off of your reply I can use the drop table option to delete the table from the DB and then use the save table option as a workaround.
Re: Query Builder - Saving Data TableSave Table issues a warning because it is going to issue a Drop Table command, which for a DB is regarded as a high risk operation. This means the table is deleted before the new table is saved, so there is no unwinding of the transaction. There is no way to suppress this warning. I imagine you could use Custom SQL in Query Builder or the JSL Execute SQL to circumvent this and "roll your own", but I would not recommend that.
