Video Script version 070714a
The new JMP community is full of powerful collaboration features which can save us all time by sharing resources, receiving helpful email streams and searching for critical JMP information. However, following private spaces and joining groups can be challenging the first go around. It was for me. So to make the community transition smoother, please follow the written instructions below or watch here as I quickly guide you thru it.
The first step is to head over to the community at community.jmp.com .
Secondly, go ahead and login in there in the top right using your SAS profile.
If you don't have a SAS profile yet, no problem, follow those instructions, confirm in email and then log in with that SAS profile information.
Once you’re successfully logged in to the community (community.jmp.com) send Jeff a message notifying him you’re in and he’ll set your permissions to gain access the JMP SE Community which is a private Space.
While you’re waiting for privileges you can explore the community a little, familiarize yourself and then create a custom email notification list, or Stream, under your user profile setting accessed on the top right of almost any page. With the drop down menu from your user name scroll down to Inbox and Activity, on the left select +New Stream and give it a name. I’ll call mine Email Watch. Also here on the same page, make sure to turn the setting on for Email updates, like I have here.
Now, after you receive notification you've got privileges, go to the JMP SE Community page and select the "Follow" button in the upper right side of the page and use the drop down to check Follow in your new Stream list. Mine was Email Watch. You can also access the community by navigating to All Places in the breadcrumb here or even searching for the JMP SE Community.
Next, navigating back to All Places by selecting the bread crumb path locate the JMP Technical Reference Library and follow that in the same email stream.
Try to get logged in now and let us know if you have questions and please share, collaborate and enjoy our new JMP community.
