Connecting JMP to SAP<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />Does anyone have any experience of connecting JMP to a SAP database or know of a good way of getting data from SAP into JMP?
Re: Connecting JMP to SAPWhen I was at Emergent, one of the IT techie guys used SAS integration technologies to pull data out of SAP for JMP. I know its possible, just don't know all the details. I suspect connecting to SAP is a moving target too.

Re: Connecting JMP to SAPHi Robert,
a friend of mine working for our SAS Partner accantec consulting AG has created an Interface between JMP and SAP based on C#. This he did for one of our customers and he is currently involved in a project where he would have to do this again.
If you would need more details let me know and I can introduce you.

Re: Connecting JMP to SAPThanks Phil and Scott,
That's very helpful.
Re: Connecting JMP to SAPRobert,
Here is some info that I found from 2014 about JMP connection to SAP:
While we don't connect directly to SAP like SAS does, there are two ODBC drivers that may be helpful:
Simba (http://www.simba.com/).
RSSBUS http://www.rssbus.com/odbc/sap/download.aspx
SAS could serve as a great middle man between SAP and JMP for a more direct connection.
Also have personally used Phil's suggestion in the past where you use another format as a middle man, like text.
Hope this helps!

Re: Connecting JMP to SAPHi Robert,
I tried to get access to SAP data in my old job. I was not successful. SAP seem to deliberately make it very difficult to get at the data. It will be possible to get data out of SAP and into JMP (SAP -> .csv -> JMP) but I don't think that you would be able to connect directly to the database in the SAP system.
