Digital Guardian update causing JMP crashes at one of my clients

I got a note from a client this morning, which said:

 

Subject: JMP crashes with newest version of digital guardian

 

Are you aware of this issue and do you know of anyone else having this problem?  I’m looking to see if you know of any customers experiencing the same issue and maybe what approaches they’ve taken.  So far I only know of 3 of our 46 users with this issue, but I’m afraid it’s going to spread quickly as our IT group performs its monthly software updates.

I’ve got a ticket in with JMP but I am spreading the net far and wide to see what folks might or might not know about it.  So, just checking in with you to see if you know anything about this.

 

Anybody else heard about this?  Based on the JMP support note, it looks like JMP can't do anything about it.  Be aware and post here if you find other people having issues.

We've had a number of reports of this problem. Looking at the DEFECT which documents the problem I can see that we have been in touch with Digital Guardian and they have told us that they can provide a configuration setting to avoid the problem but they won't tell us because we haven't licensed Digital Guardian.

 

Encourage the user to call Digital Guardian for resolution. That's really the only recourse.
