Hi,
I can get the preference settings using
Get Preferences();
I can set them to use the set JMP language rather than system language using
Set Preferences (Use local settings (1));
This will set the check box, 0 will uncheck the check box below the display setting in the preferences.
But there is no way to change the pop up menu for the display language with JSL. Why? Or am I to blind to see the right setting?
This would allow an easy workaround for any language setting issue, like decimals, date formats like dd-mmm-yyyy, where e.g. in German OKT and in English OCT will cause issues. Incorporating a specific language setting just for the execution of the script would allow an almost hidden execution with no user involvement, kind of safeguard approach when working internationally.
I saw a thread where they change the registry keys, but this was for JMP 9 and I tried but couldn't get it to work as described there. In addition this is harder to do as of permission issues might occur.
Thanks for ideas.
Martin
ps. yeah, a window telling the user to change the setting before moving forward is possible but not what I was looking for
