KNN profiler

Question from a customer... is there a reason why it is not possible to launch the profiler from the K nearest neighbors platform?  

I know you can do by saving out the prediction formula and viewing it with the profiler, but would be nice to be able to do this from the KNN platform itself.

Thanks Jian, this seems to make sense as a categorical response from KNN is not compatible with Profiler.

One reason that I can think of is that if you run KNN on a character response variable the saved prediction formula, a direct classification prediction, is of character data type, which is not acceptable by profiler. This is in contrast to most other predictive models that make probability predictions.

( To be able to run Profiler on the saved prediction formula a work-around is recode it as numerical nominal for KNN. )
