Gathering VOC for New in JMP 12 Presentation<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />Chuck Boiler asked me to share what I've developed here on the SE space. After Kick Off during all the time we spent learning "What's new in JMP version 12" I kept asking myself, "What will I show Sanofi Pasteur during the 50 minutes I have allotted for this topic during our Feb. 11 JMP Day?" Then an epiphany struck...back in my R & D days at Kodak, we often ASKED our customers what they wanted in a product....well my JMP Day presentation is the 'product'. So I developed my own version of a Voice of the Customer solicitation to the key contact at Sanofi and asked for her input. With only 50 minutes I wanted to make sure I minimized muda in my presentation. I've attached a MS word document of the core letter I sent. Undoubtedly I misstated some things...left others out...but feel free to snatch and improve for your use.
I got some very insightful feedback from my Sanofi Pasteur contact and have a tailored presentation at this time.
Re: Gathering VOC for New in JMP 12 PresentationMartin: Absolutely take what I've done and what I call 'snatch and improve' for your customers! I too kept the document for just those purposes...as we all suspect, we're going to be giving lots of "What's New in JMP version 12?" type presentations over the next several months.
Re: Gathering VOC for New in JMP 12 PresentationYes Malcolm...I tried to think of some benefit to the customer wrt to each feature rather than just list the feature and what it functionally does. Like the chemical structure diagram for an expression. These type of statements can be adjusted accordingly for any one type of customer.
Re: Gathering VOC for New in JMP 12 PresentationThis is most helpful thanks Peter. I particularly like the benefit orientation statement you give for most features.

Re: Gathering VOC for New in JMP 12 PresentationHi Peter,
this is a great collection and useful for several occasions. Of course as you mentioned one should slightly adjust the 10 Points depending on the customer, e.g. if the customer is more about Quality and/or reliability one should include RBD, Lifetime reliability and/or destructive Degradation e.g. But I will adopt this Kind of letter in my preparation for future customer visits.
Thanks,
Martin
