JMP Pro CBI notes<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />Here are some notes I made during the JMP Pro discussion on 7/22/2015 at the US Midyear meeting. Please feel free to add/edit these points.
JMP Pro CBIs:
- Magic Go Button. Find factors.
- Magic of OLS isn’t going to work.
- Increasing toolbox size (depth+breadth) to figure out what went wrong as quickly and efficiently as possible so that failure mode cannot occur again.
- If everyone doesn’t have JMP Pro the “experts” can't share their info with everyone. Regular JMP Users can’t utilize all the tools.
- Potentially wrong answer in JMP (Stepwise vs. BF) – for historical data (Not DOEs)
- Too much data and its all related (corr x’s).
- Have the data – don’t have to run the experiments. Historical data is free, let’s use it.
- Reaching the wrong conclusion?? Is this a good conversation to be having? -- Most likely not.
- Data resolution – value in the data with a better tools.
- Model selection. Evaluate and compare many models built in JMP. Speed to decision.
- Higher stakes of business problems? You want a better tool set.
- JMP Pro or Die.
- What would it mean for your model to be a little bit better (1% better etc.). This is the situation appraisal "Delta".
- Value equation.
- Lexus vs. Honda. (JMP Pro vs. JMP)
- Find the influencers inside an organization (Mike) e.g. went from 3 days of analysis to 3 mouse clicks.
- Get the hook – “JMP Lust” – need to find the Mikes. I’m going to cheat and try the Bootstrap Forest (Byron) and then show the more complex way in JMP.
- With JMP you can get there, it’s just going to take a while. With JMP Pro you can get there much faster.
- Always demo in Pro.
- It’s always price. 90% of the time customer is doing EDA.
- Force multiplier.
- Who isn’t interested in “what’s going to happen?” – your competitors are.
- Find needles in haystack. Hidden nuggets.
- Help with pricing curves on Website? Overlay plot?
- SE-time. Cheap consulting. Basically get the software for free. SEs are part of the product. How much is a daily trainer fee?
