Explorers seminars
14 May: Communicating Strategic Insight with Exploratory Analysis and Data Visualisation
The event will be held at the Eindhoven High Tech Campus (Netherlands) and live-streamed to all Europe.
Speakers: Ian and Alberto Cairo
Our external speaker will be Alberto Cairo, Professor of Professional Practice and Knight Chair in Visual Journalism at the University of Miami. With two decades of experience as an infographics and data visualisation journalist, Cairo is the author of The Truthful Art and The Functional Art, both of which explore the convergence between visual communication, journalism, cognitive science, cartography and statistics. Cairo has worked as a communications consultant in more than 20 countries.
Attendees will learn to:
- Determine whether data has been represented accurately in a visualisation.
- Construct dynamic visualisations that more effectively communicate ideas.
- Identify trends and relationships in a raw data set.

14 May: Best Practices for Building Quick and Useful Dashboards
The event will be held at the Eindhoven High Tech Campus (Netherlands) and live-streamed to all Europe.
Speakers: Hadley and Wim Pruijsen
Our external speaker Wim Pruijsen has been working a consultant for Holland Innovative BV for more than ten years and has a background in physics. He supports customers in the hi-tech industry on process and product development issues as well as statistics and reliability.
Attendees will learn to:
- Set up data queries that provide you with access to exactly the subset you want to explore.
- Use a single interface to shape and pre-process data.
- Generate and customise a range of dynamic visualisations to help identify patterns and outliers.
- Quickly separate data into signal and noise.
- Construct detailed workflows specially tailored to your data needs.
- Concisely convey key findings and solutions to decision makers.

13 June: Best Practices for Applying Design of Experiments with Quality by Design in the Pharmaceutical Industry
The event will be held in the Milan SAS office and live-streamed in English to all Europe.
Speakers: Marcello Fidaleo and Massimo Martucci
Our external speaker Marcello Fidaleo is Associate Professor of Innovation in Biological, Agro-Food and Forest Systems at the University of Tuscia and Teaching Fellow at North Carolina State University.
Attendees will learn to:
- Define the design space of pharmaceutical processes within the scope of QbD.
- Design and analyse experiments in order to extract necessary information.
- Use software tools to simplify the analytical process.

13 June: Realising the Promise of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, Data Mining and Industry 4.0 in Science and Engineering
The event will be held in the Milan SAS office and live-streamed in English to all Europe.
Speakers: Massimo Martucci and Robert Anderson
In this seminar, the speakers will use industry case studies to discuss potential problems in exploiting newer methods of learning from bigger data. They will demonstrate the need to integrate an understanding of data limitations with methods that address those limitations, in combination with subject matter expertise. And they will explore solutions to help avoid “red herrings,” wasted time and money, or misplaced opportunity as practitioners chase the wrong answer.

Trial Videos available in several languages
There have been requests to make the videos that are available in the JMP 14 trial to also be more sharable outside the product – to be used as a post-trial follow-up/reminder and for users who are trying to familiarize themselves with the basics of JMP. Marketing created a new page that houses all 7 videos and all 7 step by step guides in one link:
