Amazon Cloud and JMPHi All,
Recently, many people are interested at BIG Data and JMP Users also started taking an interest at Big data.
As one of ideas BIG Data Analyzing using JMP, I want to know JMP’s utilization case in Amazon Cloud.
For example, if JMP user install JMP in Amazon Cloud, he can use JMP regardless of constraint of data quantity.
Please let me know
-JMP's case related with Amazon Cloud
-the similarity and the difference with JMP Server Version
-and some related issues
Below two is related discussiion in SE community

Re: Amazon Cloud and JMPHi @IkjuShin,
As @danielvalente mentioned with the proper license a customer can access JMP using AWS, any cloud infrastructure, such as MS Azure, or company owned servers.
The customer can access directly from a server in AWS or from a virtual machine in AWS. With the former they would access using remote desktop protocol (RDP) and would have access to JMP and any other applications they normally might want to use similar to their desktop or laptop. With the latter they might have access to a full desktop or only the JMP client.
Depending on the problem they are trying to address the presentation server deployment model can provide improved performance due to in theory unlimited hardware resources, i,e, RAM, cores, and data storage.
How one launches or accesses JMP to start the application will vary depending on the deployment model. However, once JMP is launched the user experience is no different whether they use the client or presentation server deployment assuming each of the environments are configured similarly.
I'd be cautious to state that JMP will run efficiently regardless of the size of the data. The larger the file size the more memory required. More users requiring access to the same instance will share the total available resources. At a certain point additional resources might not have any incremental improvement depending on the problem at hand.

Re: Amazon Cloud and JMPI think the real question is: if JMP is running on an AWS VM, does it make a difference on how efficiently it can access data stored in AWS - for example a large CSV file in S3 or a database in AWS RDS or Redshift.
Re: Amazon Cloud and JMPIkju -- to answer your questions --
-JMP's case related with Amazon Cloud
With the appropriate license, users can install JMP on a virtual machine hosted by Amazon. The experience is the same as using JMP on a real destop. Just login to the Windows VM and begin using JMP.
-the similarity and the difference with JMP Server Version
No difference. Amazon is providing the VM. The OS is Windows Server; presentation server license is required. Per normal server license terms in can't be used in batch.
