Order of elements in a paired variability chart

Dear fellow JMP users,

I use JMP to compare the distribution of values for vowels in a variability chart. In all there are 5 pairs of vowels in the x axis, and I need each pair to be in a specific order. For instance, assuming the two pairs [a, e] and [i, o], I would like to be able to have precede in the variability chart. However, JMP only arranges them in alphabetical order, which means always precede and [ i] always precedes , contrary to the order I need for some of them. I'm wondering if there is a way to pre-determine or force the order of elements in each pair.
