Spec Limit Color, Compress Col. Variability SummaryDear Seniors,
Have 3 small questions regarding our JMP features, however seems there is no solution so far even from JMP Technical support
1): Variability summary table : possible to let user choose which row to display rather than all the combinations ? [SAS 7612540165]
--> user like to view the report but not in full details, especially multiple levels e.g. > 3
2): Compress Selected Col: how to recognize which column already been compressed ? [SAS 7612540167]
--> compress is nice feature, however seems not able to recognize which col. already been compressed
3): Spec Limit line color : possible to change ? [SAS 7612540169]
--> the JMP default Spec limit color is blue, in many case, the required Spec limit is Red, to be different from control limit which using blue
is there a way to change ?
above 3 are the queries with tracking # which I submitted to JMP tech support,
not sure those request are maters to you or not, do you also think there is a value for it ?
any decision maker or developer: whether it's worthy to implement in future rev. ?
( I'd like to post as a wish list, however i'm unable to start to new idea, have attached the 3 case in ppt as well)
thank you very much for any comment
Wish you a good day

Re: Spec Limit Color, Compress Col. Variability SummaryDear Nick,
It's true using the local data filter applies to the summary report. however meantime it also changes the graph display
is there a way to remain the graph while change the summary report ? thanks
Wish you a good day
Re: Spec Limit Color, Compress Col. Variability SummaryThanks Bill.
I'm using sample data "Big Class.jmp" add lower spec limit 60 for weight and also tick the "show as graph reference line" option
in the distribution plot --> right click in the graph, from the "customise" only have 3 options : "Grid Lines", "Reference Lines" and "Histogram".
1): There is no options for "lower line" or "upper line" as i can see from your picture
is there anything wrong for my procedure or something ?
2): and does this change consider as a one time change or this change will apply to all the graphs using the same set of data ?
I'm able to using "axia setting" to change the spec limit color, however this change only apply for that paticular graph only,
whatever new graphs will using the default blue, which make me sad
I'm looking for a kind of default change , one time effort to change the spec limit property default color display
Hope i explain myself clear, thank you
Re: Spec Limit Color, Compress Col. Variability SummaryHi Pin,
For item #1, you can use the local data filter in variability report to select the combinations of interest. The filter will determine what is displayed in the summary table.
Re: Spec Limit Color, Compress Col. Variability SummaryHi Pin,
For question 3 you need to right click in the graph and select Customize towards the bottom of the list. You will get a list of things to customize. Select "Lower" line or "Upper" line, whichever you want to change and then you can select the color in the dialogue box.
