Polar Plot in JMP

Question

Has anyone created a polar plot using Graph Builder? I'm assuming it is a case of converting from polar to cartesian coordinates and then plotting on x-y axes with smoother turned on?

Hi Brady,

Yes that is the concept thanks. Polar plot generally has several polar curves superimposed with polar reference grid. So it would appear to be possible to recreate this.

Hi Malcolm, try the attached. I am not sure if this is what you are seeking, but in JMP 12 Xan added the ability to infer both x and y through parametric equations--see GB script in the table.
