Paper selections<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />Here are the papers selected by the Steering Committee.
Notes: Papers 159 (Vainorius) and 160 (van der Meulen) were originally submitted as 45 minute papers. The committee has accepted them as 30 minute papers. The presenters need to be notified that they have 30 minute slots. If either is unable to present in this time we will have to go to the alternate paper 4, paper number 142 (Wells).
Full abstracts and other submission details are in the attached PDF and the Salesforce campaign report for the Call for Papers.

Re: Paper selectionsHi Katie,
I´ve just sent a reminder to all poster presenters. Deadline to upload the poster is Monday 15th. Next week, once I get the update from E-posterboard I will send a second reminder.
For paper presenters, due is as well Monday 15th. Do we want them to send us the final paper, or should they upload the paper in the community directly?
If it´s the second, do we have already a page for it, what about the instructions? "In February, you will receive instructions on how to submit your paper and presentation files (slide decks) to the JMP® User Community.": Presenter Checklist | JMP
Thanks,
Maria
Re: Paper selectionsI´ve added Sam Gardner in the list of Poster presenters.
Re: Paper selectionsHi all,
after sending the second reminder last week, only two more People agreed to present a poster instead. The list is updated now. Here the Numbers:
- All poster presenter have accepted - 9
- Non accepted papers, but poster instead: 15 Customers and 8 JMP´ler
- From the alternative paper presenter: Peng Liu/ Chris Wells/ and Roselinde Kessels would like to present a poster instead. Since the paper presenter Slots are full, should I contact all other alternatives and ask what they want to do?
Jeff, could you have a look at the list of poster? Should all present? JMP´ler know that customers will have Preference.
I´ll forward you the invite for the call with Kathy and Lori, so that we can all agree what should we do next.
Thanks,
Maria
Re: Paper selectionsThanks, Maria! So we are looking at the 9 accepted for sure and then however many alternates you decide to accept? What Wednesday meeting are you speaking of?
Re: Paper selectionsHi Katie,
all People that submitted a poster has accepted the Invitation (3th table).
The 4th table are all paper not accepted that would like to present their Topic as a poster. So far, 14 customers and 8 JMP´ler asked to present a poster instead.
I said to all JMP and SAS workers that customers will have Preference to present, if there aren´t enough Slots.
We could discuss this further during our catch up this Wednesday.
Maria
Re: Paper selectionsHi Maria,
I see that we have 9 poster presenters at this point. I am wondering how many TOTAL posters we think we might have after paper presenters have accepted, so that I know how many poster kiosks to plan for the in the Expo. In Brussels, we had 23.
Thanks!
Katie
Re: Paper selectionsAll paper Slots are now covered! We just Need to wait till next week to see if more people want to present a poster.
Re: Paper selectionsHi,
I sent a reminder to paper and poster presenter who haven´t answered yet.
Regards,
Maria
Re: Paper selectionsI just heard from Xan. Since he's doing the pre-conference workshop he was counting on not doing a paper. He's declining his paper slot. Please move Drew Foglia into Xan's spot. I'll update the table above.
Thanks!
-Jeff
Re: Paper selectionsThat's great, Maria.
I added Status and Comment columns to the tables above. Perhaps that's enough to record the acceptance information. If so, you can edit the document (use the Edit action on the right at the top of this page). If you need additional columns you can add those as well.
-Jeff
Re: Paper selectionsHi,
I´ve communicated the decisions from the Steering Committee to all everybody who submitted a paper or poster, as well as the European Team.
I´m keeping track with the acceptance of presentations/ poster in an Excel, and I´ll share it here after the 2nd of December.
Thanks!
Maria
Re: Paper selectionsAdditional note on selections:
All paper submitters who were not selected should be offered poster slots.
Thanks!
-Jeff
Re: Paper selectionsAn email thread from Maria, Jessica and Kathy.
maria.astalsseres :
Hi Kathy, hi JessicaShould I use the same E-mails as last year to communicate paper and poster acceptance? See attached.I´ve already adapted new dates and links (not the date in yellow, when should it be?)Just double checking:- We will have 16, 30 Minutes Paper- 7 Alternative presenters for the papers 30 Minutes- 8, 45 Minutes papers- 4 Alternatives for papers 45 minutes- 9 Poster presenters. All posters submissions have been accepted, so I should ask the alternative paper presenters if they prefer to present a poster or wait in case there are paper presenter cancellations? (as attached)Is the hidden page “presenter checklist” already active? If not, when will it be?
jessica.marquardt:
Hi Maria,The presenter checklist page is active and can be found at:www.jmp.com/checklistAs for the acceptance letters, one minor suggestion. They won’t receive a discount code for complimentary registration. Instead, they will be sent down a registration path that provides complimentary registration automatically. You will receive an email from us soon with a discount code for instructions for registering for the conference at no cost. complimentary registration. You can make your hotel arrangements as part of the registration process.
kathy.walker:
Hi Maria, I use the same emails each year, I just tweak the content/dates as needed. Regarding the date in yellow, I typically give people two weeks to respond from when I send the email. If this doesn’t meet other deadlines you have (finalizing breakouts/agenda for web and/or email blasts) then you can always ask for an earlier date. No matter what the date is, you will always be chasing down someone to receive confirmation. JFor alternates, I ask in the email if they want to present a poster now. If they are needed to fill a paper slot, I then move them from poster presenter to paper presenter. For the ePosters, I’m happy to help with what you need. We’ll need to work with Katie since she has been coordinating that effort for Amsterdam. I’ve cc’d Katie on this email. Katie – is there a max number of posters for Amsterdam? I haven’t seen an agenda for this event, so I’m assuming that Jeff’s numbers for available presentation slots is correct. Katie – let us know if this is incorrect. Thanks,Kathy
Re: Paper selectionsThank you Jeff!
