JMP Modeling and Real-Time Scoring<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />Hi folks,
Have this question from a student in an executive MBA program (in an analytics course using JMP Pro) about real-time scoring using models created in JMP Pro. Rather than responding to the question of database connectivity for real time data feeds, my inclination is to respond with information about the formula depot in JMP 13 and the ability to create code to score new data.
The question I had about JMP capabilities was if this program could be linked to a database or program like SAP? Once linked to the tables, real time data would be feed in to JMP and decision trees or other modeling tools could be generated to help managers in determining the most cost effective/time saving methods to implement based off of this data. I am just trying to visualize the possibilities how this modeling tool could help with operational decisions.
Any thoughts/suggestions on the best response? How are y'all positioning the formula depot and code generation in the commercial markets?
Thanks!
Mia
Re: JMP Modeling and Real-Time ScoringThanks Malcolm!
Re: JMP Modeling and Real-Time ScoringThat sounds like a nice workflow, Malcolm.
Re: JMP Modeling and Real-Time ScoringHi Mia,
Reads to me like user wants to build a decision tree using the latest data. If so, this might be done thru query builder and dashboard builder - use query builder to capture code for extracting most recent data, create a validation column then have a dashboard execute a decision tree (or other) model using validation column. Because dashboard containing decision tree (and possibly other tabs for each other modelling method) is running against most recent data, this solution requires JMP Pro licenses for each user of the application.
