1) Get rid of the "Join the Community" link that shows up when we turn on "Allow users to create their own account" in https://community.jmp.com/admin/settings-registration.jspa.

It's currently on at uat.community.jmp.com. Do we do this through Theme customization (and where?) or is there another/better option.
Met with 7Summits to discuss the problem. Lukas will schedule time with us to show how to make the appropriate changes. They should text Stan when available. Stan to grab Jonathan to join discussion.
2) Connect with Nils (??) from Pokeshot to re-engage about licensing the internationalization and localization tools.
Nils Heuer. I emailed him to set up some time to discuss our integration needs.
3) Ability to embed BrightCove videos within a document
https://uat.community.jmp.com/admin/edit-render-filter!input.jspa?filterName=HTMLFilter
Allowed Domains --> add SAS brightcove video domain here.
4) Ability to edit a video within the community directly - currently not an available function in JIVE
5) Ability to inherit languages and break inheritance. - yes, 7Summits can show us how to create that multilingual support and location of what files to edit.
6) Learn more about overview templates - going more into "Tiles" instead of "Widgets" in the future of JIVE. Short term, widgets are fine.
7) Is it possible to support an HTML5 page as an insert/attachment or enter it directly into editor?
If you disable the HTML filtering entirely, but you give power to enter any HTML a user wants, unfortunately, it is site wide.
8) Database queries samples - we can get a link from 7Summits.
9) Change login URL via FTL - must be edited/found in a javascript file which 7summits can help with.
10) How can we prevent the editor from stripping IFRAME html?
https://uat.community.jmp.com/admin/settings-filter!input.jspa?success=true
Edit HTML: HTMLFilter settings, at the bottom of that page you can control with html tags get removed.
11) Cloud versus hosted environments?
Cloud environment receives updates 4Xs a year with hosted environments get full update (roll-up) 1X/year.
Additional Notes: Thanks Volker!
Hi,
just if you are curious what was covered. Red items are marked for my follow up and discussion.

Questions about custom installs: Jive Training community
Social groups: kind of places
any user (externals can be configured) can create a group
no hierarchy
Projects live in space or groups, can have tasks etc., can be private
Create group
Four group types
Choose Members only (all can see group, users have to join to collaborate)
Manage > Settings > Wheel > Configure group features and activity > set content types ( also in spaces?)
Activity page > Right hand side: Tiles (created by group admin). Default tiles, add a tile.
Overview page has widgets
Landing page can be configured: activity or overview
Actions > Invite (no all)
Manage > Settings > About > make group private. Externally accessible = can invite users with external email address. Invite by email address. If member invites somebody it goes to admin for approval first.
Categories are in container you work in, controlled by admin.
Tags are community wide, user added.

Here you go for part II, which was much better than part I.

Spaces and groups
Choice of bucket (forget about structure or folders) by control the way of access
Keep it simple! Search engine will help to find stuff! Exception: Knowledge base is more hierarchical.
How to make content findable: Tag it! (same for people using skills, and places).
Categories are not about search (provide a way of illusion of structure where there is not). The illusion will be sufficient.
HR: HR can discuss docs in private group first (collaborate), then publish docs in HR space.
Spaces
- hierarchy / sub spaces etc.
- attention: spaces add levels of complexity
- Reasons for spaces: 1. Structure needed. 2. Detailed permission structure.
- Example: HR as publishers. Others read-only, maybe comments, asking questions. Multiple sets of users in same bucket.
- Better use categories instead of sub spaces (if permission requirements allow).
- No concept of membership. No private spaces. Users can follow spaces, but not join.
- Permission groups (e.g. full access admins).
- Default (changeable): Spaces created by admins only.
Groups (should be default - less admin overhead)
- Every group is equal. No nesting. All flat.
- Structure is only by appearance (“illusion of structure”)
- Every member is equal except for the owner.
- Membership and visibility can’t be controlled but for all.
- Simple joining mechanism.
- Status updates: groups only, not for spaces.
- 4 types of groups
- Default (changeable): Everybody can create groups or projects. Self-organising Community.
- Be relaxed about new (user organised) groups appearing (and disappearing).
- Consolidate groups can be good ideas (put same stuff into same bucket). E.g. with 15 trouble-shooting groups > move them into single bucket.
- Groups can be Externally Accessible. Attention: Default allows all registered users to create ext. acc. groups.
URLs: Can be changed after space creation, but not after group creation.
Final doc or discussion:
- Just a marker, does not stop editing.
- Indicated this is done.
- Promotion in search results.
Official does also promote in search results.
- Even higher than final.
- Outdated can have URL to new official doc.
- Outdated will be demoted in search results.
Reserved
- No further changes.
Admins: Check out Community Manager Reports
Overview and activity pages
Overview page:
The old way
Typ. as landing page
Widgets are drag&drop, based on plug-ins, not deployable in the cloud.
Activity step: step 1 on journey
Place with low configuration. "Purpose-full places".
Tiles can go mobile. Based on Javascript.
Integration with 3rd party pages, e.g. with Salesforce
“not sexy”, just get it done
Focus: activity stream
Some tiles mimic widgets (e.g. Featured content).
Some tiles are configurable, some are not.
Tile layout fixed (up to eight tiles on right hand side). Stuck with one layout in Jive 7.
Migration: - Jive Cloud only! -
Overview: E.g. Formatted Text widget with Rich text editor. Other members can’t change (without permissions).
Get HTML from Rich Text Editor and copy to clipboard.
Paste HTML into document.
Use widget Content > View Document with HTML doc. Can be edited by other users.
Pages came with last release of Jive Cloud.
Use View Document tile.
Recommended to migrate to tiles in future:
Use View Doc widgets instead of Formatted Text.
Overview page can be migrated to Page with View Doc tiles.
Max 5 pages, default is 3.
Most recent page becomes landing page.
Edit Page to reorder pages.
No HTML tile planned replacing HTML widget, again View Doc will do the job (like HTML viewer).
Activity tile is on activity page only. Other pages are for different (more sticky) purposes.
Integration with streams (e.g. Twitter) on activity page only.
Options: 1. Activity and Pages. 2. Activity and Overview. 3. Overview only.
3. Overview pages don’t have widget templates. Just copy and paste.
1. + 2.: Browse templates > template categories out-of-the-box with pre-selected tile sets.
Manage > Save as new template: Creates a reusable personal template. (also for non-admins, re-use for groups).
Save as Community template: Make template available to other users.
Admin Console > Place Template Management
Categories
In spaces and groups. Defined per place. Not community wide.
Predefined filters. Illusion of structure. Looks like a folder.
Savvy users will use tags to find content. Others will complain.
Tags are still needed for searching. Having categories does not eliminate need for tags!
Tip: Define vocabulary ahead (not retrospectively for 100s of docs) per space.
Define tags for each category.
Option: Categories can be suggested based on tags!
Same content can be in multiple categories.
Categories widget (illusion of structure) on overview page.
Categories not in tiles yet.
Permission groups
Admin console. Similar to other IT systems.
All permissions are additive: Everyone, after login plus Registered.
Admin of permission group does not get the permissions of that group.
Only members get permissions of that group.
Different permissions in different spaces for different permission groups.
“Manage Groups” means permission groups, not social groups.
More coming as I think of them...feel free to add your own.
