Can JMP Access data from PiI've been running into this question a lot lately. I'm fairly certain we can, but I'm looking for more details, specifically, how. I'm assuming that when folks mention Pi and Pi Historian, they're talking about the same tool (by OSI Soft).
Re: Can JMP Access data from PiYes
There is an OSI Pi ODBC driver available to people who have a Pi license.
Most people have the Excel Add-In and the ODBC driver. The query string that excel uses, is pretty much the same one you need in JMP. To get started writing queries in JMP its often very handy to have a copy of the Pi Tag list file.
Most of the time Pi and Pi Historian are the same thing. Sometimes people have older Rockwell or Factory Talk systems, and those haven't been easy to work with.
Attached is an ODBC Admin guide I found in their developers area. There is a section with an example format.
Re: Can JMP Access data from PiHere is the Defect: http://sww.sas.com/ds/DefectsSearch/S1365/S1365464.html
@DonMcCormack if you have the customer, I can add a note to the defect.
Re: Can JMP Access data from PiCorning uses this. They are able to get it to work. There is a bug in earlier versions of JMP - where the SQL from Query Builder adds a semicolon on the end of the statement - that OSI doesn't care for. It's the same bug that was causing issues with connections to Oracle DB's. I think it was addressed in JMP 13. Maybe @Daniel_Valente can shed more light on that bit.
Best,

Re: Can JMP Access data from PiNo, but if he's the guy to talk to, I will.
Re: Can JMP Access data from PiHave you talked to Stan Koprowski?
