change graph builder default to smoother & points

I would like to set the default chart in graph builder to points & smoother instead of just smoother itself. Outliers are of more interest to me than the smooth line so any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

I looked in preferences but couldn't find what I should change.

Preferences --> Platforms--> Graph builder. Check continuous smoother and continuous alternate none.
