1/19/23 Update
The add-in tries to make all columns formula columns and this is flexible when changing the number of rows. There are several custom column properties that work with the formula columns and the custom properties can be a pain to get rid of. In this updated version, the "Delete Column Formulas" button will also delete the custom properties that were created by the add-in.

Here is a JMP Addin that will generate a data table with various types of data including: Continuous Data, Right Skewed Data, Left Skewed Data, Nomal Mixture of two populations, Normal Mixture of three populations, Log Normal Data, Weibull Distribution Data, Categorical Data with Two Categories, Categorical Data with Three Categories, Categorical Data with Five Categories, Categorical Data with Seven Categories, Pairs of Highly Correlated Data, Columns with US States, Columns with US Counties, Columns with Countries, Columns with US ZIP Codes, 96 Well Plate Data, and Latitude & Longitude across the US.
Data can be scaled, missing values can be added, outliers can be added, and recode issues can be added.
Models can be constructed using a menu of predetermined models, or by selecting columns that should be used as predictor columns. The degree of model fit (R-Square) can be adjusted to build weak and/or strong models.
The addin will build a table from scratch. It can also point to an existing data table and augment it as needed.
Take care with some of the features because they can change data in a column. These include 1) scaling a column, 2) inserting missing values, 3) inserting outliers, 4) adding recode issues.
Please see companion video overview. Part 1 covers basic functions and Part 2 covers building models and augmenting an existing data table. Both are about 15 minutes.
Comments and suggestions are welcome!
5-11-19 Update: added several options for date-time columns (seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years), 3 trend lines (up, down and flat) and ARIMA AR2 column.
1-9-20 Update: Added rounding to n significant figures and ability to scale and round formula columns while preserving the column formula.
2-10-20. Small bug fix to initialize properly if there is already a table open called "Demo Data".
10-12-20. Added bathtub distribution generator.
