importing an excel sheet that contain alphanumeric column

Hello All,

May this one is the basic question for JMP, but I am little confused. Iam trying to import an excel sheet using File->open using JMP tool. My excel sheet has a column "Revision Level" that has values from 0 to 10 and also alphabets A to D. When Iam importing the excel file, only the numerical values from the "Revision Level" column are getting imported and I see blank spaces for the fields that contain the Alphabet values , A, B etc; How can I import the "Revision Level" column and see all the fields in JMP tool.

Try changing the format of the column in Excel to "Text" and then importing to JMP.
