<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />Hi, I wonder if ther's a way to import a huge equation I've got in JMP (using SCREENING) to an Excel spreadsheet, and not only the values. Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi:
Here is one roundabout way - using the R functions in JMP 9 and the on Windoze via COM and the RDCOMClient package:
// datatable: / File Save As() - (saves values and not formulas) - save as a "c:/temp/.xls"
Insert formula in a colum in Excel via R and RDCOMClient
// http://www.omegahat.org/RDCOMClient/
Clear Log();
R Submit("\[
library(RDCOMClient);
xcel <<- COMCreate("EXCEL.Application")
xcel[["Visible"]] <- TRUE
xcel[["Workbooks"]]$Open("C:/temp/test.xls");
sh <- xcel$ActiveSheet()
r <- sh$Range("D1")
r[["Value"]] = "Formula"
for(i in 2:51) {
r <- sh$Range(sh$Cells(i, 4),sh$Cells(i, 4))
# insert your desired foumula here
r[["Formula"]] <- paste("=Sum(A",i,":B",i,")",sep="")
}
]\");
// now close R
R Term();

The short answer is no ... in the sense there is no menu option to do it for you, so you either have to do it manually or write some code to automate the process.
Please some answer... thanks!
