Mapping Data taking into account number of rows pertaining to each geographic point (map shape)I'm trying to graph counties on a map and want to be able to show the number of rows pertaining to each county (to show the distribution of data geographically) within graph builder/map shape. The only way I've figured out how to do it is by creating a summary table for the specific variable and graphing the N but this creates a lot of extra tables and work because I have to make an individual table for each graph I want. I thought using the "summary statistic" of N or sum with map shape would allow me to differentiate the N rows for various counties but that doesn't seem to do anything. Am I misinterpreting what the summary statistic option within the map shape can be used for? Or how I can get that onto the graph?
Re: Mapping Data taking into account number of rows pertaining to each geographic point (map shape)You can add a column to your data table which is the count of the number of rows for each county. Just use the Col Number() function in your formula, with the County column as both the counting column and the by column
Col Number( :County, :County );
You can then use this column as the numeric column for the map display
