Is it possible to connect JMP to a process line, monitor streaming data and perform online SPC? Is it also possible to write comments on the control charts (--> out of control signals)?

As shipped 'out of the box' JMP is not adept at true online process monitoring in a real time process control/monitoring implementation. Now having said this, JMP has many partners who have helped many JMP users by creating applications that do just this sort of thing.
