How do you separate Month from Date in graph builder using a Mac?
Go to the axis you want to change and CNTL/Click(on a Windows PC this is a Right Mouse Click) on the axis and choose Axis Settings. In the Axis Setting window, click on the down arrow for the format, and select, Date==>m/y
Or, if you want to use the month value for groupting or overlay etc. item, then all you have to do is to create a transform variable in your list of columns.
CNTL/Click on the date column in the list of columns and select "Formula". In the formula window that pops up, change the formula to
month(<:your date column name>)
and then click on OK. It will create a new transform column with an unfortunate name. So you will want to rename it's name by CNTL/Click on the transform column name, and select "Rename". Then just enter the name you want to call it. Now you can drag the new column to where you need to use it
