Archiving project in JMP14

Just starting to use new "project" functionality in JMP14. Can someone explain the "archive project" option. What does this do?

I'm particularly interested in sharing projects between users and worried about file path integrity (ie in journals you have to update scripts to deal with this) - does "archive project" address this?

In JMP, select Help > Books > Using JMP and then search for "archive."
