Re: Python 3.7 integration problems with JMP 14.2Given a path to the dll of "C:\Users\eurvan\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python37", I would try
Python Init(Path("C:\\Users\\eurvan\\AppData\\Local\\Programs\\Python\\Python37\\python37.dll"));
or
Python Init(Use Python Version("3.7"));
or
Python Init(Path("C:\\Users\\eurvan\\AppData\\Local\\Programs\\Python\\Python37\\python37.dll"),
Use Python Version("3.7")
);
to start with.
Re: Python 3.7 integration problems with JMP 14.2Hi Paul,
i do have only one version of Python (version 3.7), located at C:\Users\eurvan\AppData\Local\Programs\Python
The python3.dll and python37.dll are located here C:\Users\eurvan\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python37
Thanks in advance,
Kind regards,
Valérie
Re: Python 3.7 integration problems with JMP 14.2You should need no more than the first, or the first 2 arguments to Python Init(). If you fully supply all three arguments then it should work regardless of how many instances of Python or where they are located. Also, note no testing has been done to make sure this works in python virtual environments, (such as virtualenv).
Re: Python 3.7 integration problems with JMP 14.2Where is your python located? Do you have more than one version of Python on your system? Windows or Mac?
If you have more than one version of Python on your system you will probably have to use the optional arguments that Python Init() takes. Path() is the absolute path to the python shared library, such as libpython3.7.dylib, or python37.dll, or the directory that it is found in.
Use Python Version("3.7")
Example on the Mac
Python Init(Path("/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.6/lib/libpython3.6.dylib"),
Use Python Version("3.6")
);
Simlarly for windows.
The 3rd argument accepted is the Python sys sath( ) which is a JSL list of paths which replace Python's default path lookup for modules and shared libraries which can be found if you run your Python from a terminal, then format that to be a JSL list.
import sys;
print(sys.path);
Re: Python 3.7 integration problems with JMP 14.2Hi Valerie,
What is the date on your 14.2 executable? Changes were made for Python, and it is important to know if you have those changes or not.
Thanks,
Brian
