Set values of number col edit box?

I can't seem to set values for a number col edit box, separately from when it's created.

nw = new window("test",

        tablebox(

            neb = numbercoleditbox("Numbers", {}),

            teb = stringcoleditbox("Strings", {}),

    )

);

a = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5};

b = {"a", "b", "c", "d", "e"};

neb << set values(a);

teb << set values(b);

This code results in:

I need to add dynamically add numbers outside of window creation.

Aha found it - using SET instead of SET VALUES does the trick.  Not obvious.
