applicationHi,
I've made an application with a local data filter + a grah inside a data filter context box.
When the application is run by someone else, I would like to have the local data filter already selected only on a variable (selected by me) with checkboxes.
How can I do it?
best regards
Re: applicationThank you for your answers.
I understood that I had to change the script of the module.
But as my computer skills are limited, I'll try to make a simpler script without using the application.
I need to study the JMP Help about the application!
best regards
Re: applicationFrancoise,
I did not intend to change the application script, but to change the module script. I have clipped in two screeshots of an application built for our book. The application has a number of UI options to view and print multiple reports and a tabs for each variable/by group being analyzed. Note there is only a place holder there. The number of tabs and the actual content is creatde after the dialog. Now your application might not be doing the same as this one. Now continue below.

My recommendation is to edit the module script. See lines 115 an 116. The number of tabs is ny * number of By keys.
CreateTabs_xp is an expression created in an include file. If I were adding a local data filter to my graphbuilder report, I would add it in the script that created the tabs. Not know ing your application, I cannot give more direction. However, it is worth your while to use the module scripts (screenshot 2). And again, I do not recommend editing the application script.
Re: applicationDid you edit the .jmpappsource file outside of JMP? I've found that this can corrupt the file. Safer to edit things using the Application Builder interface in JMP. If that's not the case then you should probably contact tech support.

Re: applicationHi,
thanks for your answer.
I've modified the script of the Application builder like this (end of the script):

I have the local data filter with the good variable choosen and the check boxes in the application builder but when I run it, I have this message:

Re: applicationHi,
This script adds the local data filter to a window. When working with an application, you will need to add code like this to the script of your report (display) module. An easy way to find the syntax for a data filter is to set up the condition you want and from the red inverted triangle menu select Save Script to clipboard and paste it into your script.
Note whe there are many options and I just want to show one, select the one option and select Invert, then get the script.
BTW , you probably want to enable Automatic Recalc(1).
Names Default To Here( 1 );
dt = Open( "$SAMPLE_DATA/Big Class.jmp" );
nw = new window(" test",
obj = Bivariate( Y( :Weight ), X( :Height ), <BR /> Fit Line,<BR /> Automatic Recalc( 1 )<BR /> ) //end Bivariate
); // end New Window
obj << (Curve[1] << Line of Fit( 1 ));
lf = obj <<LOCAL data="https://community.jmp.com/" filter=""></LOCAL>
