"3 Factors nested" dataset<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />Hi,
I am not sure I understand why the example dataset called "3 Factors nested" has indeed data from a nested factorial design. The way I see it is that all "parts" are measured by all "operators" with all "instruments".
I hope anyone can share some comments.
Best,
Dave
Re: "3 Factors nested" datasetThanks Mark, that seemed to be the most reasonable question, I just couldn't find a description of the dataset.
Related to this, if I divide a liquid sample into three tubes, and ask each of three operators to measure concentration of one of them only, should I say that sample is nested in operator?

Re: "3 Factors nested" datasetEach operator gets a different set of parts to measure. Part 1 for Sally is not the same as part 1 for any of the other operators. Part 1 is merely the first part measured by each operator.
