R Version with El Capitan?

Question

Having just installed the latest and greatest version of R (R version 3.2.3 (2015-12-10) -- "Wooden Christmas-Tree"), I seem to have fallen foul of:

and can't connect.

Does anyone know which version I should regress to, please?

I tried the same with identical results (R versions 2.1, 2.6, and 2.10), couldn't install. I was successful with installing an older 3 version, but it still hung in JMP.

Now I (somewhat urgently . . . ) need a working system with JMP 12.2 interoperating with R on El Capitain.

But when I try to regress to R 2.6.2 or 2.7.0, the 'Install' button is greyed out.

Maybe this is due to a less than clean uninstall of R 3.2.3, but before I dig into that possibility, could someone please respond if they have a working system as described above.

This defect has more information, Ian. I still don't believe it is fixed, either in 12.2 or 13.0. You may want to add yourself as an interested party. Is there a customer having issues here that we can attach to this?
