Re: How to specify 2 digit year rule in JSL ?When I import the column is automatically assigned to numeric, date format.
The HTML was saved as characters.
Are you changing the format during import? I don't understand how you are importing a date as characters, JMP should import this as a numeric automatically.
Could you provide the actual HTML??? I just hand wrote one to check my answer before replying.
Re: How to specify 2 digit year rule in JSL ?I think the two digit year rule only applies during the import. I don't think it is used for a later conversion of the column from character to numeric.
Re: How to specify 2 digit year rule in JSL ?I tested this with an html character file before I answered your question and it worked just fine.
Re: How to specify 2 digit year rule in JSL ?Thank you for your reply but I am not importing text file. I am importing HTML tables to JMP. All data are characters. When converting to numerical data, I have the problem.
Re: How to specify 2 digit year rule in JSL ?JMP File menu
Select Preferences
Pick Text Data Files Tab on left
Under Two Digit Year Rule Pick a date range that matches your data range, i.e. 1920-2019.
