Hi All,
I've been struggling and thus far unable to configure JMP 13 for our Mac clients running 10.13 to talk with our PostgreSQL data warehouse. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this?
So far I've tried using just about every Mac/Unix ODBC driver manager available (iODBC, unixODBC, ODBC Driver Manager) with about 4 different historical versions of the psplodbc open source driver. I've compiled and installed the driver manually, with a couple different ./configure options and tried to just using brew and letting homebrew deal with it. Nothing seems to work. When attempting to connect to the db, an unintelligible response is given (random unicode characters). The problem repeats on several different clients as long as they are running OS X 10.13. I have been able to get the Devart enterprise PostgreSQL driver to work, but I'd rather not shell out $150 a client to install an open source driver.
Is there any way to form a DB connection using a non-system managed odbc connection?
Any help would be appreciated!
