Win 7 Parallels VM problems -- anyone seeing anything with recent 2/17 update?

I've spent the better part of this afternoon trying to figure out why my Windows 7 VM is on a seemingly endless restart loop with a problem the can't be fixed. I have a snapshot that is right before today's (2/17) Win updates.

After the updates are installed I have the following problem:

This just runs in a loop over and over.

Has anyone else run into this today with their VM? Or have any suggestions?

I ran into a similar problem a while back. I'd get to the start-up splash screen, then everything would go black. I though I posted in this forum, but maybe it was in the older SE forum. It turned out that the VM was corrupted. Since I couldn't see anything, I couldn't boot from a back-up disk and run any disk recovery utilities (if I recall, there might have been something like this mentioned in the help forum on the Parallels website). Fortunately, I had a recent backup and simply replaced the file associated with my VM. Lost some work, but everything seemed fine after that.
