<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />Hello - I wrote a script in JMP 9 to extract data using a modal dialogue box. When my colleague runs the script in JMP 8, she's getting an error related to the use of "Number Edit Box":
This is the error: "Name Unresolved: Number Edit Box in access or evaluation of 'Number Edit Box" , Number Edit Box ( 2010 )"
Using JMP 9, it works fine. in the modal box, I use this statement:
YYYY = Number Edit Box ( 2010 )
and then after the modal box is closed, get the data with this statement:
dyear = YYYY << GET;
Is there a way to do this in version 8?

Thanks for the reply. I actually found an even better solution....I was able to get her to upgrade to 9.0, so problem averted!
I believe Number Edit Box was not available in JMP8. Use Text Edit Box instead..
