tools ("selection" through "simple shape") not enabledUsing JMP 9, registered through my University, and other than the Arrow tool and the Help tool, all the tools are grayed out and disabled. Any idea why or how to fix it? I can't find anything.

You may be looking at the Home window tools. Instead look at the menu/toolbar in the report window.

It's hidden at the top of the report window but the Alt key or a brief hover of the mouse at the top of the window will reveal it.
