Obtaining Statistics out of StatisticsHi,
I have a group of process performance data and distribution grouped by condition. I am looking for an efficient way to calculate min, max, mean and std dev of the range of each condition group of data. Is there any platform in JMP that can do this?

Thanks,
Gary
Re: Obtaining Statistics out of StatisticsGot it to work! Thanks a lot Karen!
Re: Obtaining Statistics out of StatisticsMost definelty you can skip the JSL!!!
Go to Analyze>Tabulate.
Drag the condition into the left drop zone, drag the preformance into where you now see the 423s, then select the measures you want and drag them to where you now see "Sum". There are options to update the format, etc. Tabulate has a bit of learning curve - explore and you will figure it out. The documentation is here:
https://www.jmp.com/support/help/14/tabulate.shtml
Re: Obtaining Statistics out of StatisticsThanks Karen, the tabulate format does what I want. Can I bypass the scripts and just use the front-end platform to create this?

How about tabulate?
Analyze>Tabulate for the interactive version.
For your data:
Tabulate(
Add Table(
Column Table(
Analysis Columns( :Performance ),
Statistics( Mean, Std Dev, Min, Max, Range )
),
Row Table( Grouping Columns( :Condition ) )
)
);

Re: Obtaining Statistics out of StatisticsYou can easilty use the Summary platform to calculate the various ranges, and then the Distribution platform to give you the Mean, Min, etc. on the ranges.
Here is a simple example, using the Semiconductor Capabiltiy data table
names default to here( 1 );
dt = Open( "$SAMPLE_DATA/Semiconductor Capability.jmp" );
dtSummary = dt << Summary(
invisible,
Group( :lot_id ),
Range( :NPN1 ),
Freq( "None" ),
Weight( "None" )
);
dtSummary << Distribution(
Continuous Distribution(
Column( :Name( "Range(NPN1)" ) ),
Customize Summary Statistics(
Std Err Mean( 0 ),
Upper Mean Confidence Interval( 0 ),
Lower Mean Confidence Interval( 0 ),
N( 0 ),
Minimum( 1 ),
Maximum( 1 )
)
)
);
