Fonts MisbehavingHere's some test code:
New Window("Test",
Border Box(Top(20),Bottom(20),Left(20),Right(20),
LineupBox(NCol(2),
Text Box("First Name", <<VERTICAL alignment=""></VERTICAL>
Depending on how you enter a text field (mouse-click or tab) and based on time of day or some other random event I get either the font size I requested, or not ...

The small font size only occurs at the time when input is typed, but its still inconsistent and ugly.
I initially assumed it was a JMP 13 issue because there is a lot of inconsistent font behaviour for display boxes in this release but that's not the case - it also occurs with version 12.
Any ideas as to what is going on?
Re: Fonts MisbehavingThe problem with fonts behaving inconsistently was a bug in JMP 13. It was corrected in JMP 13.2 and beyond.
Re: Fonts MisbehavingDone, thanks!
Re: Fonts MisbehavingThanks, taking a look at it. I think JMP is not always sending the current size to the edit control and it winds up using a default size.
Re: Fonts MisbehavingI can replicate the behavior in JMP 13 (I have not changed any default fonts).
Re: Fonts MisbehavingI was able to replicate your example in a release of JMP, and then I went to JMP 13 and I could not replicate it. I believe the reason I could not replicate it is that I have changed the default font and font sizes.
This is a courious one.

I fixed your post to use the JSL formatting.

Re: Fonts MisbehavingHi, I came across this issue. It's not working in JMP 12.2.0 and now it's not working in JMP 14.3.0.
Issue: text edit box() text, when selected (blue box), reverts its text to a smaller size font.
Weirdly: if text edit box() font is set to font size=10, JMP 12.2.0, this completely mitigates the issue by not left shifting the font as the font size correctly does not change during selection. (but only that font size) In JMP 14.3.0, this font size=10 mitigates the issue of left shifting during selection, but does shift the font upwards a bit.
So in my case, I'm using a text edit box() for an exact WYSIWYG text form that supplies the text content for a different textbox() on another tab. The issue is that my users need to enter the text in the text edit box() so that it exactly appears that way on the other output textbox(). The text edit box() text looks fine, until they select the text edit box(), which reverts it to a smaller size font and then this messes up the text wrapping to their eyes and kills the WYSIWYG concept. Note: this behavior is not controlled by the JMP Preference font sizes either as I've messed around with all of them and it does not help. I've also set the text edit box() font to say 8 and this does not help. In my case I can't use the text edit box() font size of 10, eventhough it corrects the issue, as it's way too big. I need a font size of 8.
So maybe this got fixed in JMP13, but it seems to be back again at least in JMP14.
