How to retain data associations when splitting on a variable with uneven distribution?I am having an issue with the JMP split table function. I haven't been able to find a solution posted to this particular problem.
- I start with a table where the data is unevenly distributed between different variable groups.

- I use the split table function to unstack “Temperature” by “Season”.

- The resulting table has the “Temperature” values now distributed among 4 new columns for each “Season”, but neither the “Sample” or “Time of day” are correctly associated with these values (compare to original table).

Is there a way to split / unstack my original table so that each set of values remains correctly associated? That is, can the split table just create new rows where necessary so all the original information remains intact? I have a much bigger data set that I would like to split this way, so doing it manually is out of the question.
Thanks for the help. // JMP 13.2.0
Re: How to retain data associations when splitting on a variable with uneven distribution? Thanks! This has been bugging me for a long time.Re: How to retain data associations when splitting on a variable with uneven distribution?I think what you want will be obtained if you place the Sample column into the Group selection
