Overlaying a graph on a map graphic

I have created a regional map of the us based on the state map file US-State-Name.jmp.

I would now like to overlay on each region (collection of states) a pie chart that represents the % of a data type in that region.

I can color the regions by % for one given data type which is all well and good but I want to display the breakdown by region.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
