We have a customer that is asking a question on which ports are used when JMP calls a SAS server for an analysis step in a custom app they are using. Their IT department wants an answer because of potential misuse or hacking.
The customer is being referred to tech support, but I thought I would check with the SE community as well.
The customer problem statement in their words:
"Our basic questions is why are so many ports being used on this server. Which ports are accessed when neural nets are run and called on the server.
Overall goal is to make sure all communications with this server are explainable and not malicious IP hacking. (Which seems highly unlikely)."
More on the context - the customer uses a custom application where a SAS sever is called from JMP to do neural net analysis and the completed analysis is returned to JMP. If you an idea, but need more please context let me know and we can discuss outside of this forum.
