using modal to create data base connection<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />

Hi

i am trying to create data base connection and data quary using modal

so far i cant retrive the modal text

for example

thi ssi my connection quary: 

dbc

= Create Database Connection("DSN=DB;UID=guy;PWD=passguy;MODE=SHARE;DBALIAS=DB;");

when i try to make a quary so other ppl that dont use JSL can connect to data base i cant retrive the UID

i try:

 

New Window("USER ID", <<Modal, Text Box("insert user ID"), variablebox = Text Edit Box());

userID = variablebox <<get ; 

show(userID) ;

but all i get is:

userID = .;

???

is there a way to create data conection and excute SQL script using new window? (for ppl that are not using JSL)

You just have syntax error.  You need to use the message "get text", not "get"
