DOE with two independent mixturesHi,
I like the mixture design. I used it so far and like the way it works.
Can we create a DOE with two independent mixtures ?
For instance with the following criteria:
x1+x2+x3 = 1 AND X4+x5+x6 =1
I do not want the following criteria: x1+x2+x3+x4+x5+x6 = 1 (that would be a simple mixture design)
Thanks
Re: DOE with two independent mixturesAlso, see Help > JMP Help. Search for "mixture of mixtures." This information will show another way to think about it. It might not be what you need now, but it might prove useful in the future if work with mixtures a lot.
(Note that the mixtures of mixtures approach is essentially what Dan recommended but the Help offers a detailed example from which to learn.)
Re: DOE with two independent mixturesTry setting the mixture sum to two, add 6 mixture components, then add linear constraints for your two constraints (it will turn out to be four linear constraints)
