Basic question concerning IF statements

Are the two IF formulas behaving in the exact same way or is there any difference? Which syntax should be preferred for numeric data and why?

 

IF Statement1

 

If( :Value > 1, 1, Empty() )

 

IF Statement2

If( :Value > 1, 1 )

Thanks. I did realize this already, but was not sure whether JMPs treat both IF statements always in the same way.

If you open the formula for each of the columns in your sample data table, you will see that JMP interprets both of them as the same.
