Control Chart Trend LineHi all,
I'm investigating control charts in JMP. One feature that would be very useful, and that I can't seem to find, would be a trend-line for a control chart so it can be seen at a glance whether the overall trend is rising or falling. I can't seem to find an option for this and don't want to use a regular graph as it removed the 3SD lines which are also very useful for context.
Re: Control Chart Trend LineCan you give us some more information about the inherent variability of the process data you are working with? And your overarching goals for the control strategy?
1. Is your control strategy to hold the process stable once phase 1 is complete? With an eye towards detecting drift in mean or variance at some reasonable average run length during phase 2?
2. Does the process naturally wander and drift wrt to mean or variance?
