does JMP 13 run on mojave?

Hi, I am trying to run JMP 13.1 on Mojave but it keeps crashing. Any suggestions? The machine is a new iMac.

The weird thing is that it works on a Mac mini 2012, but it was installed before I upgraded to mojave

Looking at some of the support pages it looks like the answer is basically 'no', but perhaps with a modification?

http://www.jmp.com/support/notes/62/993.html - this one suggests a helper app to suppress the splash screen that causes crashing.

http://www.jmp.com/support/notes/51/280.html - this notes OS support by version (as does this - https://www.jmp.com/en_us/support/system-requirements.html#macintosh which also indicates that 13.x is not officially supported on High Sierra or Mojave)
