Does anybody know a way to load HDF5 file in JMP (except by using the MATLAB interface)?

I have not tried but I think one could also use an R-package to import.
Alternatively, they should be able to set the export option coming from HDF5 to ascii or xml and then use JSL to import directly to JMP.

Please forward this request through tech support. There have been previous requests for support of HDF5. With sufficient interest this may become a format supported in future versions.

I had a brief correspondence with the HDF5 group a few weeks ago about this. They had an interest list for an HDF5 ODBC driver, so I wrote them to ask whatever happened with this effort. They said my query got them interested in doing a driver again, and that they would let me know if they got one into a Beta stage. We'll see...
If I haven't heard back from them soon, I may investigate having a direct import capability for at least the tables portion of the HDF5 format.
